Workshops & Teaching
During graduate school at the University of Arkansas, I had the opportunity to teach undergraduate students both as a teaching assistant and instructor of record. I was a teaching assistant for freshman Image & Design and an instructor of record for senior Design & Technology and Senior Degree Projects.
In addition to my work in the classroom, I created a number of collaborative art and design workshops for middle school and high school summer camps. These workshops teach the fundamentals of graphic design, with a focus on the design process over the design outcome. I compiled these workshops into a zine called Replacement Umbrella that allows this curriculum to be self-led or taught in a classroom. During my time working in the design and printing lab, I came to know and love the Risograph printer, fondly named "Lizzo the Riso." I created an intro and use guide for how to use a Risograph printer called Riso Love.
